Daarel Burnette II is a senior editor for The Chronicle of Higher Education. He previously served as an assistant managing editor of Education Week, the bureau chief of Chalkbeat Tennessee, and as a reporter for The Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Star Tribune, The Chicago Tribune, and The Louisville Courier-Journal.
