Nicole Vap (she/her)

Nicole Vap is a duPont-Columbia and IRE Award-winning investigative journalist with decades of experience in local and network television. Driven by a commitment to accountability journalism and the sustainability of local news, she has built a career connecting communities with the reporting that matters most.

Most recently, Nicole served as Executive Producer of Content Development for CBS News and Stations. She now consults and advises, including with the Colorado News Collaborative (COLab) on its MATCH Lab program — pairing resource-challenged newsrooms with academics, business mentors, and students to solve real-world journalism problems.

A respected voice in press freedom and journalism ethics, Nicole served three terms on the board of IRE (Investigative Reporters and Editors) and currently serves as Vice President of the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition, championing transparency and public access to government information.
