Olivia Reed (she/her/hers)

Olivia Reed is a May 2026 graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she studied broadcasting on the news track and history. She spent her college years gaining experience in video, audio, print, data, photo and multimedia journalism, with a focus on investigative journalism. Olivia won four awards during her three years at UNL: two first-place Eric Sevareid awards, one Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists and one Award of Excellence from the Broadcast Education Association. She was the news intern for KOLN (Lincoln, NE) in the summer of 2024 and the news/investigative intern for CBS Sacramento/CBS California Investigates in the summer of 2025. Her stories range from unsolved cases involving Missing and Murdered Indigenous women in rural America, to youth incarceration and mentorship. Olivia is an early-career journalist looking for her first market.
